About Shelby Dillon
The story, the studio, and the heart behind the art.

Come adventure with Shelby Dillon Studio
Shelby Dillon’s creative journey is rooted in the belief that art is not just something you hang on a wall; it’s a way of living, seeing, and being. Her work is a vibrant celebration of adventure, self-discovery, and the beauty found in life’s boldest detours.
What began on the other side of the world, freshly married and living as an expat across Southeast Asia and South America, turned into a lifelong commitment to chasing inspiration in the unexpected. From bustling markets to quiet coastlines, Shelby learned to embrace contrast, color, and the spirit of wandering with open arms. Those years gave birth to what is now Shelby Dillon Studio, a space where art meets storytelling, and pattern, color, and form reflect a life fully lived.
Shelby’s artistic voice is unmistakable: confident, intuitive, joyful. Her work has been collected internationally, exhibited from Australia to Sweden, and featured in media like HGTV’s Love It or List It and The Scout Guide. But accolades only tell part of the story.
From 2020 to 2025, Shelby shifted from studio to screen, teaching thousands of students around the world how to embrace their own creative voice. With over 1,000 students finding confidence through her approachable, heartfelt instruction, Shelby became a guide for those learning not just how to paint, but how to believe in themselves. Her message was always clear: You are already an artist. You just have to give yourself permission to act like one.
Now in a new chapter of life, Shelby has retired from teaching and returned home, to her paintbrush, her family, and her own evolving journey as an artist. Based in Bluffton, South Carolina with her husband and daughter, she is focused on building intentional collections, exploring new mediums, and expanding her studio’s offerings into luxury home goods that reflect the same spirit of joyful living.
At the heart of her work are a few mottos she carries closely: live abundantly, stay curious, and nurture relationships that matter. They’ve become the threads that tie her art and her life together, an open invitation for others to do the same.
