Growing up my Grandfather always made this fantastic recipe for these rich, spicy pecans. It was so popular in my family that my grandmother used to hide her tins of the nuts in a back hallway and it became a family sport to sneak back there and swipe some without her noticing. These nuts are the perfect treat to have out in bowls around your holiday party. I especially love putting them out on the bar cart.
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Combine all ingredients except pecans together. Put pecans in large bowl and pour butter mixture over the top, tossing pecans in mixture. Spread out pecans on baking sheet until 1 layer of pecans has covered baking sheet. You will probably have multiple batches. Bake until toasted, 12-15 minutes, tossing once during baking process. Let cool on a paper towel.
